Owen Pallett @ The Imperial

For the past decade Owen Pallett has been my favourite artist – I was so deeply moved by his work as a young frustrated adult and devoured all his studio material, everything I could find on YouTube, and paid rapt attention to his career for years. When the Westward Music Festival lineup came out with his name above ours I was sitting in our tour van in the desert outside LA, physically shaking from the knowledge that I would be playing the same festival as him. But we’re not just playing the same fest, we’re opening for him at Imperial Vancouver September 14th and I never thought I would have an opportunity like this my entire career. I owe a massive thank you to Timur from MRG Concerts Western Canada for getting us on this bill. If you are going to check out any show at Westward, I strongly encourage you to go to this one. Owen is an incredible musician and I feel so deeply grateful to be sharing the stage as well as get to see him perform again. We will be working on a very special set for this one.

America, we’re packing our bags for our first US tour (ft. a trip to Vancouver Island)! If you’re anywhere between Seattle to LA, we’ll see you next month! This will be our final tour before we focus exclusively on the second record.

Farewell, Victoria.

After 2 years of hard work, dedication, multiple tours and the fiercest low end shredding, our wonderful bassist Victoria is moving on from Douse. We have appreciated her talent, incredible enthusiasm and positive energy that she brought to the band, and wish her all the best with her new passions and projects, where ever that may take her.

To keep up with Victoria, you can catch her on The Storytelling Show on 100.5 CFRO Sunday nights, as well as on the Three Angry Nerds podcast! And of course, she will always be your friendly neighbourhood bass extraordinaire.
